DEATH CERTIFICATE

Israeli death certificate for relatives, apostilled for use abroad

Inheritance and citizenship proceedings abroad often require the original death certificate of a relative who died in Israel. We collect it, apostille it and translate it.

Proving the family relationship

A death certificate is issued only to a relative of the deceased. With your request, you will need to provide documents that prove your family relationship to the deceased.

For a more distant relative, such as a grandchild or great-grandchild, this usually means a chain of certificates connecting each generation. We tell you exactly what is needed when we review your request.

What we need from you

  • Full name of the deceased, and Israeli ID number if known.
  • Approximate date and place of death.
  • Documents proving your relationship to the deceased.
  • Your destination country and delivery address.
  • A signed power of attorney.

Your power of attorney: three ways to sign

To collect documents on your behalf we need your power of attorney. Choose the route that fits you:

Online, in minutes

Israeli citizens and residents aged 18 or over with an active Israeli national digital ID (GovID) can grant us a power of attorney online through the Population and Immigration Authority. No notary and no mail.

At an Israeli embassy or consulate

Israeli citizens abroad can sign the power of attorney directly before the Israeli consul, without a notary.

Before a local notary

Anyone else signs before a notary in their country of residence. The signature then needs consular authentication. We send you the exact wording.

For the embassy and notary routes we need the original signed document, sent to our office by courier.

Upload the authority's requirements with your request. Adv. Pudim reviews them before quoting, so we order the document the authority actually asked for.

It depends on the documents, the issuing authority and the delivery address. We give you an estimate with the quote and keep you updated as each stage is completed.

Your quote lists every government fee separately, such as issuing fees and apostille fees, next to our professional fee, so you can see exactly what you pay for.
